Gujarat Giants, a Pro Kabaddi League franchise based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, joined the league in 2017 (Season 5), originally known as Gujarat Fortune Giants. The franchise is owned by Adani Sportsline. The team’s official anthem and slogan is “Garjega Gujarat”, and their home ground is the EKA Arena, TransStadia in Ahmedabad.
For PKL 2025, Gujarat Giants appointed Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh, an Iranian all-rounder, as their new captain. He was purchased for a record price in the auction. The team’s coaching responsibilities have been taken over by the experienced Jayveer Sharma.
Despite not winning a PKL title yet, Gujarat Giants made a strong impression by finishing as runners-up in both their debut season in 2017 and in 2018.
