Patna Pirates, the most successful team in the history of Pro Kabaddi League, is a franchise based in Patna, the capital of Bihar. The team has been part of the league since its very first season in 2014. It is owned by Rajeev B. Shah and plays its home matches at the Patliputra Sports Complex, where the team also practices.
Patna Pirates has won the PKL championship three times (Seasons 3, 4, and 5) — in January 2016, June 2016, and 2017. Pardeep Narwal played a key role in the team’s success but has retired after remaining unsold in the 2025 auction. For PKL 2025, the team has appointed Anup Kumar as the new head coach, with Prashant Kumar Rai as the deputy coach. The team has named Ankit Jaglan as the captain.
