The Sonipat Stars are one of the most promising teams competing in the inaugural Kabaddi Champions League (KCL) Haryana 2026. Representing Sonipat, a city known for producing strong kabaddi talent, the team is focused on building a powerful combination of local players and match-winning stars. The first season of KCL will be played from January 25, 2026, to February 7, 2026, at the Sports University of Haryana, Rai.

The Sonipat Stars are owned by the Oneprastha Group, a well-known name in real estate. In late 2025, the franchise was officially acquired by the group’s co-founders Somesh Mittal and Aditya Goel. With their entry into sports, Oneprastha Group aims to support grassroots talent and bring professional management into Haryana kabaddi.

The team is coached by Ramesh Kumar, who brings solid experience and discipline to the squad. The biggest attraction of the Sonipat Stars is their captain Ayan Lochab, a left raider and the most expensive player of the team, bought for ₹18.4 lakh. His leadership and attacking skills make him the key player to watch in KCL 2026. Along with him, defender Rahul Dagar plays an important role in strengthening the team’s defense.
